For one week this spring, from 17–21 May, Borough Market’s Market Hall will be turned into a miniature Zurich foodie paradise. The Zürich meets London festival hub consists of a village of stalls that serve up an irresistible selection of local specialities, ranging from the intense flavours of Züri-honey to Zurich’s favourite sausage, a perfectly grilled Cervelat, and from the rock hard and yet melting-on-the-tongue Tirggel to zesty Turicum Gin flavoured with the blossoms of the linden, complete with tonic water from Gents, also from Zurich.
There will also be a branch of the popular vegetarian restaurant Tibits, a gin & juice bar, and – of course! – a gourmet chocolate stall. Adding to the celebratory ambience, the pop-up version of Zurich’s liveliest and most innovative radio station, GDS.fm, will present a fizzy mixture of music, interviews and reportages live from the festival hub.
